We’re a new Jesus centered community committed to loving God and loving people everyday.
When Jesus was on earth it was remarkable how often he asked people to join him at the table for meals, so we decided that’s a great place to start! At the table community forms, life change happens and mission is launched.
With food, scripture, prayer and service
The first step is to invite people to join us at table to eat just like Jesus did. It’s amazing how quickly we can become friends and support one another when we eat together. It might be something about laughing together about how the six year old eats the toppings off a donut or having to listen to someone else because you are chewing, but we know eating together is a great thing!
While the simple act of eating together can really make a difference, we also know if that’s all we do it can be empty. That’s why we find way to love people in service wherever we can too. It can be the simple act of remembering to ask about someone’s life when you heard they were going through it before, and it can be more organized. On the organized front we’re dreaming and planning right now. It’s taking baked goods to people so they know they aren’t alone, it may be a community movie night on the lawn, kids camps, and finding other ways to help our neighbors. Honestly, we’re a community, so the community will be figuring this out as we go!
Everyone is welcome to join us for dinner every other Wednesday night from 6-8. We were asking people to sign up, but it’s going regularly enough now we just say come as you are! Bring something to share if you can and please don’t if you can’t
